Things really cooking At St Duthac Book and Arts Festival

A Masterchef winner and several sold out events has got things really cooking for the upcoming St Duthac Book and Arts Festival.

Sue Lawrence, who won the world famous cookery programme in 1991, will be in conversation with Festival Chairperson Catherine Williams at Tain’s Duthac Centre on Saturday 11th September at 14:00.

As well as an accomplished chef, Lawrence is also the author of seven historical novels, the latest of which, ‘Whispers in the Glen’, as well as her new book, ‘Scottish Baking’, will very much be on the menu during the event.

Ahead of the Festival’s grand opening on the 8th of September, Catherine Williams said, “Tickets are going like hot cakes for this years St Duthac Book and Arts Festival with two sellout events in the first week of sales! 

“Tickets to two of our events are already sold out, which is phenomenally exciting.

“Additionally, this year, the Festival has intriguingly tasty morsels  such as Whisky Murders being held in a new distillery or crime in the Sheriff Court. 

“Tickets for James Naughtie, Asad Qureshi and Kirsty Wark are also being gobbled up, so people need to get their skates on if they want to secure their places.”
