Queen Crowning

Kayleigh Chalmers has been selected as this year's Salmon Queen! Kayleigh will be representing the Kyle of Sutherland area and attending various events during the weekend. She will be crowned at the Pipe Band Parade with Ardross Pipe Band on Thursday 13th August at 7:30pm.

This year's Gala Queen attendants are Elowen McIness (Gledfield PS), Maisie Green (Bonar Bridge PS), and Bea Masson (Rosehall PS). Representing their local area and school, they will be assisting the Salmon Queen with events, judging, and more. A big well done to all of them.

In addition, the cover of this year's programme was selected in a competition, with entries from Gledfield and Bonar Bridge Primary Schools. A big thank you to Carolyn, who had the tough job of judging the entries, and congratulations to the winner, Millie Millward (P5, Bonar Bridge Primary School). A big thank you also to the Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust, who printed the programmes as a donation to the Gala Weekend. The programme looks fantastic!

Flower & Veg Show

The 2026 Kyle of Sutherland Flower & Veg Show will take place on Saturday 15th August at Ardgay Public Hall. The Flower & Veg Show committee hopes everyone planning to compete is busy having their entries in the making. The Flower & Veg Show programme with timings, schedule of classes, and all the information you need to enter exhibits is available at the Kyle Bakery. Good luck to all contestants!
